The editor visited three prospects this week. These belong to Mr. W. S. Mc Donald of Anaconda, and are situated about half way between here and Boundary Fall** some distance up the mountain to the east. The first aiid nearest to Boundary Falls is the Lulu. On this property two Holes about eight feet deep have been sunk on the lead. ��������� Work is progressing on the second : shaft and the ledge is about six inches in thickness at the bottom. It carries ' good values in galena. The second claim is the Moonshine. This is located next the Lulu on the north. Three shafts have been sunk on this prospect. One has a two foot lead of a curious black rock which assays nine dollars a ton in gold. The Continued on page 2. Of Slag Kai_ w *y at Local Smelter. At the I>. C. ThU culvert will consist of stone auti large pieces of slag. A wall built of this material has been filled in with hot slag. Another wall will b. built on the opposite sid*$ and a bridge coi - strutted between. The grade will then be extended along the hill to the south, where the dump of th<* future will be. The short cut between furnaces has been finished some time. It not only saves a long detour but admits of faster running on account of better balla** ��������� ing.
