Date. March 25th. 1911. THE LILLOOET ADVANCE
MINING NEWS
C. H. Schupster and William
Hartman, prospectors, arrived
yesterday and will outfit in Lillooet for a trip up Bridge river
and Cadwalleder creek.
William Leach is busily engaged doing assessment work on
his claim, the Minuri, which is
situated on Cadwallader creek
and lies to the east of the Blackbird and the Ida May group.
The Canadian diamond has
been tested by the greatest gem
experts of the world and pronounced to be equal to the South
African product.
T. A. Brett and J. C. Williams
returned Monday from a prospecting trip up Cayoosh creek
and report a fine time and good
results. Mr. Williams left for
the coast Wednesday.
A. F. Noel and H. J. Keary
were guests of John E. Johnson
on Sunday and inspected the Jes-
person Hydraulic leases on Cayoosh creek, now being developed
by Messrs. Mellott and Johnson.
H. J. Keary and H. L. Phair
have closed a deal for the
mineral claim known as the
Skukum. It is situated on Cadwallader creek adjoining the
Nellie and will undoubtedly prove
itself worthy of the purchase.
The prospectors who have been
up Cayoosh creek for the past
week are highly pleased with the
result of their investigations.
Mr. Davidson and son and Mr.
Crane, all of Vancouver are working in the vicinity of the old
Bonanza mine and are elated
over the prospects.
G. D. Bell and Grant White intend to further develop their
claims between Tyoughton and
Gunn creeks, and in a short time
will open up the veins at different points to have a practical surface showing for the examining
engineers when they arrive to
look at the property this summer.
Development is still going on
at the Rhodes-Sunborn group of
claims on Seton lake owned by
John Dunlop. Under the able
management of Will Haylmore a
good showing is being made and
all the openings being placed in
shape for examination of the ore
body. This property has had
considerable development done
upon it and the values are very
encouraging.
The Spokane group of claims
owned by Dr. Christie and
situated on Big creek, a tributary
to the North Fork of Bridge river
will in all probability be surveyed
in a short while. Extensive development work has already
been done on this property and
one tunnel is in over 200 feet.
The object of this is to tap the
vein, which will eventually give
them a depth of about 100 feet.
The assays are of a good value
and this group is generally considered one of the best propositions in the 'Lillooet mining district.
