Role of Hansel in Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel und Gretel Ahmad, Aliya Sheherazade

Abstract

As fulfillment of the degree of Masters in Music: Opera performance, the thesis consists of performing a role in an opera. I, Aliya Ahmad, performed the role of "Hansel" in Humperdinck's opera Hansel und Gretel. The performance featured on the VHS tape took place at he Chan Center for the Performing Arts as part of the Christmas season performances in December 2000.
