My 16* 1950
Dear lira Brack t
I have today forwarded by registered air mail a laaauseript dealing with that
part of the history of the Johns Hopkins Hospital School of luraing that is directly
related to the period 1867 — 1894* ffhis manuscript contains approximately 29*000
words* an amount which would fill about 90 pages in a volune comparable la si so and
general format to Br 0hesaeyfs history oi the Holms Hopkins Hospital and the Johns
Hopkins University School of I Iodic inc. ftie content hag been tentatively divided into
eleven sections to which no chapter headings have as yet been assigned and it is
hoped that this arrangement will facilitate evaluation, correction and criticism. .
I should be vbtj grateful if corrections and criticisms would be sent to me as soon
as possible since they will bo valuable not only in the process of revision but also in
the develop .oat of that part of the history in which I am nov? engaged and which I hoj
to complete not later tblia September 30. It would be helpful if the seetioa number
and the page number would be indicated in each case.
Will you please tell the members of the History Goredttee how revy grateful I am
for- their unfailing patience and courtesy ? It was very kind of the® to allow me
more time to complete that part of the history which will deal with the period
1894 ~~ 1907.
Cordially yours
(Ethel Johns)
