The    committee    instructed    the city  solicitor and building inspector to prepare an amendment to the Civic health  bylaw  to provide   for the  control   of  plumbers  again" which   was   in   force  some years  ago  during  the  building  boom  but  afterwards   rescinded   during war,   years when    labor became  scarce.  It is expected the new tiylaw will  come up for consideration at the meeting  of  the  city   council   on   Monday  next, v It' is proposed to have all plumbers pass-an examination to be conducted ;by,;a board consisting of one representative each- of the -city building inspector, plumbing inspector and city  engineer's' departments, together with  a representative of the local riiaster  plumbers ,and the. .plumbers    union.  The registration fee for master plumbers  either'as   a   firm   or  individuals,  will probably be set at $25 per annum  and the  journeyman's yearly  fee; at  $1.   It is proposed to make the bylaw  effective on and after July 1.  _£■__           GOVERNMENT   TO   BUILD  WHARF AT KUSKONOOK  Tenders are being.invited by the federal   department   of   public  works   at  Ottawa for the construction of a floating wharf at Kuskonook, B.
