VIOLATION
OF TREATY
London. — The relations between Russia and China are now
strained to breaking point. Russia has notified Great Gritain,
France and Germany of her intention to make military demonstration on the Chinese frontier,
owing to China's persistent violation of the St. Fetersburg
treaty of 1881. Vital questions
involved are free trade in Mongolia, the extra territorial concession of Russia and China and
the establishment of a Russian
consulate at Keobdo, Mongolia.
Sealing Treaty
Ottawa.— A treaty has been
signed between the United States
and Great Britain on behalf of
Canada, for the cessation, for a
limited term of years, by the
sealers of both countries.

No wonder it is said that
man evoluted from brute creation
when the habit of creeping and
crawling is so prominent in this
fair world of ours.
A very pleasant and much enjoyed outing was spent last evening at Mr. Ledgerwood's residence near Seton lake. The occasion being a surprise party.

The intensity of the suffering is
distressing to witness.
