Road Construction Starts
In accordance with a policy outlined by the Minister of Mines
* and the Minister of Public Works while in Stewart in the
fore part of the wet-k. the local Public Works Office has received
verbal instruction to proceed at once with the construction of
the Marmot river road and the upper Hear. As a result a camp
is now being established an the Mat mat and some 15 men put
tn work. A camp has been established at Ward's Pass and another at Hitter creak, and some'JO rutin are already employed
with improvements and changes. It is understood that these
Orewa will be increased and the work rushed.

These two operations, while, perhaps
oosting considerable money, will save
thousands of dollars to the operating companies as well as prospectors, in transportation charges, and enable them to put the
