Abstract
The purpose of this evaluation is to examine the effectiveness and impact of the Kampus Desa program at IPB University. The KD program seeks to empower rural communities through educational workshops, training, promoting social capital and economic development. The evaluation's primary objectives were to determine the program's impact on participants, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. The evaluation was conducted between April 30th and June 1st, by a team of 4 undergraduate students from the University of British Columbia. The evaluation focuses on various aspects of the KD program, including its performance, communication, participation, and organizational structure. The evaluation assesses five issue areas including (1) Effectiveness and Engagement, (2) Communication and Agency, (3) Participation and Accessibility, (4) Transparency, Organization Capacity, and Governance, and (5) Evaluation and Improvement.
