Aptamer-Based DNA and RNA Switches : A Review Sidhu, Mimansa
Abstract
Aptamers are oligonucleotides that are able to selectively target genes and regulate the expression of certain proteins. Although this technology is still in its early stages, aptamer-based molecular switches have potential to be used as therapeutic agents with applications in targeted drug delivery, cancer treatment, and cell signaling. This paper presents a scientific review of the literature that is currently available based on this topic.
