When writing a fictional short story, my word count trend resembles Freytag’s Pyramid. Lucky, Isabel J.
Abstract
After thinking about the word count trend of my fictional stories, I decided to test the hypothesis that there was a non-linear trend and the prediction that the trend resembled Freytag’s Pyramid. As I wrote each of the stories for the major assignments of CRWR 309 2022W2, I tracked the word counts and created the associated visual representations (i.e. scatter plot with a trendline) on Google Sheets. After the scatter plots were created and I compared the trendlines to Freytag’s Pyramid, I saw structural similarity among all of them.
