The design of CMOS colour palette integrated circuit Mielcarski, Robert James

Abstract

This thesis is concerned with the design, fabrication, and testing of an oxide-isolated complementary metal-oxidesilicon (ISO-CMOS) colour palette integrated circuit. Concepts in computer aided design (CAD) are discussed and the tools required for a complete CAD system are detailed. The fabrication steps, design rules, and electrical parameters of the ISO-CMOS technology are described. The colour palette function and its applications in graphics display systems are explained. The remainder of the thesis details the design philosophy, the design procedure, the simulation results, and the testing performed on the colour palette circuit.
