Abstract
An ultrahigh vacuum system has been constructed for the purpose of filling discharge tubes with gases without introduction of impurities. An ultimate pressure of 6 x 10⁻¹⁰ mm. of Hg. has been reached before filling. Two tubes have been constructed and filled with Neon without critical contamination.
