Abstract
The thesis for the Master of Music degree in Orchestral Instrument Performance specializing in double bass consists of two full-length recitals with emphasis on solo works, but also including representative chamber works. The two full-length recitals were performed on March 10, 2024 and February 10, 2025. They featured programs of music featuring double bass with piano, and double bass with violin by the following composers: Alfred Descenclos, Sergei Koussevitzky, Adolf Mišek, Astor Piazolla, Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Gioachino Rossini.
