Abstract

This short paper provides a brief history of the series of Tailings and Mine Waste conferences plus others organized and sponsored by Colorado State University. This is the first time that such a summary has been put together and we hope that members of previous organizing committees will provide further updates to this in the future. Table 1 provides a complete listing of the series of conferences, providing information about the locations and specifically the proceedings page count, number of papers and publishers.[All papers were considered for technical and language appropriateness by the organizing committee.]
