Machine Architecture Morris, Zachary John
Abstract
This thesis project investigates the kinetic architectural potential of mechanization. It aims to contest the ubiquitous banality of architectural mechanical systems and suggest expressive and engaging alternatives. This work studies the spatial potential of multiple mechanisms and systems and speculates on their architectural applications with the aim of fostering a meaningful relationship between the human body, energy, and architecture.
