The no longer, and the not yet. Wolfe, Lauren

Abstract

The no longer, and the not yet offers a portal into what has been, what is, what will be, and asks how we know what we know. This is a body of work that explores our collective grief and anxiety around climate change, what it means to stand at the threshold of climate uncertainty, while remaining tethered to the legacy of colonization. The method of storytelling is done through the use of poetic prose, and material exploration while seeking to expand beyond colonial-centric methods of architectural representation. This work challenges us to critique the way we design, why we design and who we design for. The no longer, and the not yet is an ongoing process that calls on designers to co-create with our animate non-human kin.
