Teachers and Education Assistants : Navigating obstacles towards effective collaboration Sahota, Amrita
Abstract
This literature review examines barriers which prevent teachers and education assistants (EAs) from collaborating for students with special needs. By focusing on ways to strengthen collaboration, despite time constraints and limited resources in K-12 public schools, this paper explores the role of teachers and EAs and how they can improve their collaborative practice. The involvement of school and district leaders in what they can do to increase collaboration in schools is also highlighted.
