Creating Connections with Families Through Home Visits in the Prekindergarten Program Grieve, Tamara Angeline
The practice of home visits in early childhood programs offers the potential to build meaningful partnerships with families. Drawing on Bronfenbrenner's (1994) sociocultural model and Moll, Amanti, Neff and Gonzalez (1992) funds of knowledge perspective, this capstone project takes a critical and practical look at the practice of home visits, and how they support the important connections between home, school, and the community.
