Jevons’ paradox revisited : Implications for climate change Siami, Navid; Winter, Ralph A.

Abstract

Improved fuel efficiency may raise the flow of carbon emissions, from Jevons' paradox. We point out that it always raises the stock of total carbon emitted. If carbon capture and sequestration are improving over time, however, this paradox may be re-versed.
