Data-driven evidence for reducing residential fire in vulnerable communities through the lens of a Sendai framework : A rapid review Bilal, Hasana; Pawliuk, Colleen; Pike, Ian, 1958-

Abstract

Residential fires pose a critical global public health challenge, disproportionately impacting vulnerable populations such as Indigenous communities, socioeconomically disadvantaged groups, and individuals in high-risk settings. These fires lead to significant morbidity, mortality, and long-term disability, underscoring the urgent need for targeted, evidence-based prevention and emergency management strategies.
