Abstract

This report evaluates the status of the Injury Surveillance Pilot Project (ISPP) based upon the framework established in the first ISPP Evaluation Report. Brief background information is provided and project goals related to data collection, electronic data storage, data analysis, information dissemination, and information use are addressed through a series of evaluation questions. Methods and/or steps are described and findings are presented and discussed. Finally, highlights from this evaluation are summarized, quality of the data discussed, limitations of the evaluation presented, and next steps for Emergency Department Injury Surveillance System (EDISS) outlined.
