Exploring Physical Intentional Assault Injuries in Children and Youth, Ages 10 to 16 Years, in Canada Rajabali, Fahra; Nolan, Mhairi; Brussoni, Mariana
Abstract
This report is a follow-up of the study conducted with physical assault data from 1998 to 2002 (Rajabali, Nolan, Olsen, et al. 2005). The objectives of this report are: (1) to understand the characteristics and patterns of intentional physical assault injuries among children and youth aged 10 to 16 years, (2) to identify how and why the assaults occurred, and (3) to use this information to inform prevention program design and to identify additional research needs.
