Abstract
The information presented in this report is based on the data provided by the Northern Health Authority as part of the Vanderhoof Safe Baby Project. The data was collected at the Emergency Department of St John’s Hospital in Vanderhoof, BC, between October 2003 and October 2004. The purpose of this report is to a) describe the features and patterns of injury at the Emergency Department in Vanderhoof; b) identify the leading causes of injury morbidity; and c) provide recommendations based on evidence-supported best practices relevant to the leading causes of injury within the community.
