Abstract
This report describes the profile of motor vehicle-related injuries and mortalities in British Columbia (BC) between 2001 and 2004. It provides a detailed description of five motor vehicle collision (MVC) risk factors using mortality data, hospital separations data, and the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) collision data. Evidence based best practices targeting individuals, communities, and policies related to youth, seniors, alcohol-related collisions, speed-related collisions, and child restraint use, at the time of the collision are also presented.
