Abstract
The Site C hydro-electric project in northeastern British Columbia, Canada requires reclamation of land temporarily disturbed by construction activities. The paper presents a project reclamation case study including an overview of seed and cutting collection, propagation of native seedlings, physical reclamation techniques, planting of native seedlings, reclamation effectiveness monitoring and the use of a reclamation geographical information system (GIS) tool. An overview of governance provided by the Treaty 8 First Nation Site C Reclamation Sub-committee is also provided.
