The, Hon. Ricltiird McBride, Minister of Mines and Premier of British' Columbia, will honor the Similkameen with a visit next week. He will be accompanied by Hon. R. F. Green. Chief Commissioner of Lands and Works, and by L. W. Shatford. M. P. P.. the representative of the district. The Premier and Mr. Green will leave Midway on Sunday next, and on Monday, Nov. 13th, will address a meeting- at Keremeos. proceeding to Hedley next morning. Here he will address a.meeting in Eraser's Hall on the evening of Tuesday, the 14th. and after the meeting he will be tendered a banquet at the Hotel Similkameen, to which all are invited, for it will be in no sense a political function. No invitations are being sent out, but all are invited to attend and do honor to worthy visitors. [t is hoped that there will be time for the Premier and his party to get about while here. As Minister of Mines, and thereby head of that department, he will see many things to interest him. and among them the banner mine of British Columbia.
