Broadbent, Seattle, A.Y.P.,\nstating that Princeton ore exhibits had\narrived and were on exhibition, also saying : 'We have a splendid exhibit from\nB.C.' A vote of thanks was tendered\nMr. Broadbent for dutiful attentions and\npains in following delayed ore samples\nand for his kindly interest in, and information for, the Board.\nFrom Heaton's Commercial Agency,\nToronto, re writeup in the 'Commercial\nHandbook.' In the\ndiscussion which ensued the weight of\nopinion favored some such scheme of\npublicity but that the financing difficulties could scarcely be overcome, the\namount required for a first class work of\n10,000 copies with plenteous illustrations\nwould be approximately $1500. The necessity for\nan officer whose whole time would be\ndevoted to enforcement of the law was\nstrongly empasized by the whole board.\nThe whole subject was referred to the\nmagistrates with the respectful request of\nthe Board to at once take such steps as\nwould remove from the public streets\nsuch bestial exhibitions and foul language\nas had been prevalent in the past.\nCommittee on literature for railway\nbulletins have not done anything yet.\nBoard adjourned at late hour.\nLIME AND BRICK.\nH. The fact that\nlime has to be freighted here and costs\nabout $35 per ton makes it a subject of\ndeep interest. Mr. Brown is a good\nAmerican with the business facnlty prominent and well developed and while a\nman would be making a 'pass' or two at\na mosquito on the tip of his nose, he (Mr.\nBrown) had a depot established in Princeton from which his lime and btick, too,\nwill be delivered.
