Municipal Superannuation Report, 1947-48.\nREPORT OF THE BUSINESS DONE IN PURSUANCE OF THE \"MUNICIPAL\nSUPERANNUATION ACT \" DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 1947-48.\nSection 6.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Contributions amounting to $474,499.19 were made by 4,707 municipal\nand School Board employees.\nSection 8.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Contributions credited to the various employers' accounts, in accordance with the provisions of this section, amounted to $693,553.87.\nSection 10.\u00E2\u0080\u0094The net requirements in the case of each employer were ascertained\nin the manner prescribed by this section. Certificates of Loan were issued to the\namount of $353,573.29 in accordance with subsection (3) (c) of this section, and outstanding Certificates of Loan were reduced by the amount of $793.15 in accordance\nwith subsection (5) of this section.\nSection 13.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Superannuation allowances were granted to 134 employees.\nSection 17.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Disability allowances were granted to 6 employees who had become\ntotally and permanently disabled.\nSection 18.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Allowances were granted to dependents in the case of 8 employees\nwho died while in service.\nSection 18 (3).\u00E2\u0080\u0094Refunds amounting to $1,120.08 were made in the case of 6\nemployees who died while still in service.\nSection 19.\u00E2\u0080\u0094One allowance was granted pursuant to the provisions of this section.\nSection 20.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Refunds amounting to $98,291.95 were made to 493 employees who\nleft the service of their employer.\nSection 31.\u00E2\u0080\u0094Securities in the hands of the Trustees at this date are set out in\nSchedule 3 of this report.\nR.
