"The mapping class group of surfaces is a very rich object,\ndirectly related to the geometry of the moduli space.\nPseudo-Anosov homeomorphisms give a way to understand\nthis geometry. We propose a general framework for studying\nthese homeomorphisms on (half-)translation surfaces. As an\napplication, among other consequences, this allows us to\ndetermine the systole of the hyperelliptic connected components\n(for the Teichmueller metric) for any genus.\nThis is joint work with Corentin Boissy."@en .
