The strike is a large body\nof galena ore. The claim lies to\nthe east of the present workings,\nand is on what is known as Split\n.Creek.\nOn Wild Horse Creek.\nWin. Bidding and others who\nhave a claim of 80 acres of placer\nground on Wild Horse Creek,\nhuve i'iiii a tunnel in 170 feet.\nThe object of lhe tunnel is the\nfinding of what is supposed to be\n.an old channel of the creek,\nwhich they expect to strike in\n\u00bbbout 30 feel.\nSouth Fork of St. Mary's.\nW. Belding has made a rich\nstrike ol copper ore on the South\nFork of tbe St. Mary's River.\nThe strike is on the same contact, as the now famous Pyramid\ncroup, distant about live miles.\nThe surface ore is u copper sulphide anil pyritios. The width\n.of the vein is from two to six\nreel of solid ore. The hanging\nwall is porphyry and the foot\nvvall diorile. From assay re-\n,-urns the value of the ore on the\nsuface is as follows: No. 1 assay, copper 1\\ per cent., silver 5\nounces, gold \u00a31; No. 1 assay,\ncopper li! per cent., silver 15\nounces, gold $1.20 The outcrop\ncan be traced for 1,200 feel.\nBull River.\nMr. S. L. Boyer hns taken an\noutfit to Hull River to do a large\namount of work on the Boyer\nclaim. ' Mr. Boyer states that he\nwill run a tunnel in Kin feet and\nthoroughly prospect the prop*\nfifty.\nAlki Creek.\nMr. ('. Hungerfoi'd Pollen\nbrought in some beautiful specimens from his claims on Alki\n(Creek, Mr. Pollen reports that\nhis property is on the same contact as the Pyramid group. The\n.ledge or vein is a large one, being from 14 to 20 feet in width.\nMost of the work done so far hub*\n.been prospecting. A crosscut\nhas been run lor a distance of Iti\nteot.
