Heretofore in the province aliens owning\nreal estate have been permitted to vote\nat all municipal elections, and iu\nsome cases their vote had quite a bearing ou the result, there being many\nholders of real estate who have not\nbeen natuialized.\nAt 3 o'clock yesterday morning tbe\nhouse dided on the budget, when R.\nL, Borden's amenomeiit was defeated\nby 6i for and 117 against. Majority\nfor the government, 56.
