From ancl after the passage of this Act, the Writs of Capias\nad respondendum, and Capias ad satisfaciendum are abolished.\nII. Previous to the arrest of any Person or Persons under a\nWrit of ne exeat regno, the Plaintiff or Plaintiffs shall give a Bond,\nwith one or more Sureties, to the satisfaction of the Chief Justice\nof the Supreme Court of Civil Justice, and deposit the same with\nthe Registrar of the said Court, in which the Plaintiff or Plaintiffs\nshall be obligee or obligees conditioned to pay to the Defendant\nor Defendants so arrested, such costs as the Court or a Judge\nshall direct to be paid, in the event of his ordering that the\nDefendant or Defendants shall be discharged out of custody, that\nthe Bonds should be given up to be cancelled, or that the money\ndeposited with the Sheriff or paid into Court should be restored\nto the Defendant or Defendants.\nIII. The bail or security required to be taken under a writ of\nne exeat regno shall not be that the person arrested or intended to\nbe arrested, will not go or attempt to go out of the Colony of Vancouver Island and its Dependencies, but shall merely be to the\neffect that the person arrested will perform and abide by the\norders and decrees made or to he made in the suit, or will personally appear for the purposes of the suit at such times and places\nas the Court may from time to time order, and will, in case he\nbecomes liable by law to be committed to close custody, render\nhimself, if so ordered, into the custody of the Sheriff wdien and as\nthe Court may from time to time direct.\nIV. Process of contempt for non-payment of any sum of money\nor for non-payment of any costs, charges or expenses, payable by\nany decree or order of the Supreme Court of Civil Justice in equity,\nor of a Judge thereof, or by any rule or order of the said Court, in\nits common law jurisdiction, or of a Judge thereof, or by any\ndecree, order or rule of the said Inferior Court, or of a Judge\nthereof is abolished.\nV.
