That generosity that sometimes lies concealed In partisan fights\nand race disputes has burst those\nIgnoble bonds and patriotism has\ncome to the front disfigured by no\npetty purpose or feeling.\nForget All Petty Differences.\n\"The last four days of the session\nhave vindicated Canadian parliamentary life for alt time to come. They\nhave shown that It is possible for us\nto forget all mean and petty differences in Buch a crisis,\n\"The one solemn thing for us to remember Is that there Ib more to war\nthan the first marching out of tbe\nraw troops, than the first blare of\ntrumpets and the first flaunting or\nthe colors. What more has to be\nborne has been shown by the Belgians\nwhen their homes have gone up In\nflames and when their bodies have\nbeen shattered by the grim weapons\not the war. My word is to put on the\nfull armor of courage which will not\nbe daunted by one reverse or by a\nseries ot reverses. Let ub remember\nwith our best wishes and follow wltb\nour deepest prayer those of our comrades who are taking the sword ln\nthe defence of their country and the\nEmpire.
