Few people in\nRevelstoke realize what a great work\ntbc poultry tanciurs here were doing\nbut n stroll through tbe orderly und\nwell arranged building conclusively\nproved what large proportions this\nbrunch ol industry lias assumed. The\nstriking point of the whole wus thc\nsplendid condition of tbo birds, in\nspite of tbo fact thnt this is the\nmoulting .I'lisiin, nnd really not the\nbest time to show poultry at ita\nbest. Every breed wns represented,\nnml all were line specimens. This\ndepartment wns admirably managed,\nbeing in the bands of J. J. Devine,\nand the whole exhibit was a .credit\nto the Poultry Association and a\ngreut factor in bringing local poultry iH'fore the public oye. Never\nwas such a tine collection seen hero\nbefore.\nTHE MANAGEMENT.\nPresident A. McRae, ably assisted\nby Vicc-Prcs. A. J. McDonell, and\nSecretary  Field,  carried out  all    nr-\nangementa with indefatigable energy, everything working smoothly.\nThe difficulty in transportation to\nthe grounds on the first day was\nremedied on tbe second, while thc\ns.s. Revelstoke wat kindly lent for\ntbc occasion, and afforded a delightful means of visiting thc grounds.\nTHE GROUNDS.\nThe grounds nnd track were in\nlirst class condition, the former being cleared of all brush, weeds and\nother rubbish. From tbe grand\nstand towards the main entrance wus\nn small \"midway\" consisting of refreshments and tea stands and\nninny side shows, und two\nchurches, St. Peter's uud the Metho-\ndisr church did u large business in\ntea and light refreshments, while H.\nManning and R. Muson dispensed\ncandy, fruit nnd other dainties. Several other side shows consisting of a\nPalmist, ring throwing, etc., and a\nlarge booth containing the West wood\nfamily from New Zealand, mad! up\nthe midway attractions. The fat\nboy and girl drew a big crowd.\nMuch interest was taken by the\npeople in tbu race horses and the\nstables were visited by large numbers. Tbo grand stand was well\ntilled each day, while the attendance\ngeneraUy   was  the largest  yet.\nTurning from the fruit, we next\nsec a magnificent display ol     Bora!\nexhibits, consisting of pot piuuts,\nsingle blossoms, bouquets, floral designs, foliage ami ferns. Particularly\nfine dahlias iters shown by J, P.\nMcLennan, Mrs. Haggen    and    Mrs.\nCounter, while T. Stoed'H asters\nwire beautiful, Tbe exhibit of Mowers was particularly attractive ami\nit is grntifying to see tbis branch of\nindustry     so     far    advanced. J.\nMalcy'u showing deserves special\nmention .\nFINE ARTS, FANCY WORK.\n, Exhibits iu tins class were not so\nnumerous ns in previous years, and\nuntil better arrangements are mado\nIor the display of line nrtB and\nfancy  work,  to keep  them   Clean  nnd\nfree from dust, the entries in   thi\t\nclasses   Will   be   very   limited. The\nCollection of fancy work showed some\nexcellent specimens, n credit to the\ncity.
