He was employed as Assistant Art Director at the Gazette Printing Company in Montreal by 1942. Additionally, he is known for designing a commemorative stamp for the International Civil Aviation Organization. The 5 cent stamp celebrating the tenth anniversary of the organization was issued in June 1955. The bookplate owner, George H. Fensom, was likely a wealthy Toronto-based businessman. He was president and manager of Fensom Elevator Company, which in 1905 merged with the American elevator company Otis Elevator to form Otis-Fensom Elevator Company, Limited.
