_? Vol 4. No 30. WEDNESIX* Y. JULY 6, 19&4. 5 c. per M.fath. May Not Beach Low Water Mark. It is likely that Boundary Creek will not reach low water mark tt all this year below the B. C. Cappsr Go's punp liouse. During high Water Copper Creek formed two new channels. Both were cut deep into the soil and gravel. The first is now dry and the creek flows through the second, An imn e ;se quantity of large boulders wtrre washed out and into Boundary Cretk. The&e i ** have so raised the levt 1 of the bed of the creek that low watermark may be considerably above ihat of last year. It will likely continue so for several years. Some idea of the force of freshet may be gathered from the that several boulders probably weighing hundreds of pounds each, and that were deeply im bedded in gravel, have beer, washed out and are nowhere to be seen. Development is Progressing. At the Helen development work is steadily progressing. The > haft is b-- ing sunk on the ledge and is now dowa about 60 feet. The lead averages a- bout ten inehes in width, and is niuch richer than at the time of the big strike on the 8rh of June. Sinking his been in progress since June the 15th. It is expected that drifts will be run as soon as the hundred foot level is reached. About y tons of fine ore are sacked up and read-, y for shipment. This ore will all go over $225.00 to the ton. The lead, is widening and everything looks very promisinflr.
