Mr. Swan states th'at he has three men employed in laying pipe and getting the flume in place. The company have overl 300 acres of placer ground at the mouth of Slate Creek. Careful tests of this ground show it to carr3* frcm 6 to 12 cents per cubic yard. It has taken over three years to get this ground in shape for rapid and economical working, and it will be a year yet before the company can hope to realize much on their outlay.
