This should awaken an interest in every resident between Kitselas and Francis lake to show up the commercial value of this section and there should be a specimen of mineral from every group of claims that have any claim to recognition, and all tne various productions of the farms should also be well represented, and make a display that rrtn LOCAfc AND DISTRICT NEtyS. /*=-=.. There are few places in British Columbia that' has a brighter outlook than this section with* the rich deposits of mineral ori Four-mile, Six-mile| and Nine- mile. It also has large bodies of coal, there are at prfesent seven square miles of coal land located within ten miles of town and are the nearest proven cpal measures to the terminus of the G. T. P. at Prince Rupert. These locations are situated in the midst of one of the richest mining districts in the Province. Up to the present time the product of these properties is the best coking coals so far discovered in this district and in order that the larjffe bodies of ore in this vicinity may be treated on tne ground, it is necessary that they have a supply of cokg for smelting purposes. In addition to the^ mining in* dustry, the farming interests in this section would cjreate a demand for the product from these mines. Possibly a more important source to supply than either of the above mentioned, would be the city of Prince Rupert, this point will eventually become one of British Columbia'^ most important seaports anc| as such will create an enormous demand for coal to supply a shipping in-j dustry. The property is beautifully located for operating; there is ample water power oh hand tq generate sufficient vpower for drilling and electric tjram purposes and the grade frth 80 ehains, west 80 chains to the point of commencement, containing 520 acres more or less.
