We beg to report a- follow- ,,n iln. work ;il tin- power .lam: Since our la-i report the ion 'feting mi both ilie north ami south sides was carried up to an elevation above ilie penstock openings, ami the lurge sluiceway was rinsed about three- ujuureers of it- height. Au attempt wa- mude to buil I lhe gate house and complete some oi tlir pier- ou tlie dam, bui tlir sudden rise of tin. water on th.. 24th ami 25th uh. rendered tlii- impossible. Pome concrete around thr blow-off minions was washed out. ami it was thought im - possible io concrete further, whon a rise in the water would wash it out. This has since been borne out by the water rising ou the 5th and overflowing the top. The steel in the upstream pier of the gute-house was bent by drift-wood at the time of the flood, and shortage of labor and carpenters made it impossible to go on with thr structure in time to complete before thr water rose again. Temporary racks for drift-w 1 were put in front of thr penstocks until the high water would lie over, and thr gate-house could be completed. Thr penstock gates air iu phi',., and thr .lain Was ready for ronn.-efing wiih thr old flume on May 5th. Thr concreting up of thr dam between tke wini: wall and thr north bank to top will be completed this week and the hoists for operating tho mites put | in place. Naturally they are anxious to procure a Hour of th« kiuu best adapted to lengthy storage. There are two important reasons why PURITY FLOL'R possesses these qualities. One is that it is made entirely from Manitoba Hard Wheat. The other lies in the fact that tha careful milling necessary to produce "Purity absolutely excludes all low-grade particles of the wheat berry. It's tho high gr..^'.e Manitoba Hard Wheat Flour that keeps—stands longest storage. That's "Purity." "Purity ' flour may cost a little more, but is more than worth the difference. Try it.
