In accordance with the provisions of the Statute in that behalf, I have the honour to
submit the Twenty-fourth Annual Report of the Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages
in this Province, the period covered being the year ended 31st December, 1896.
The returns show the registration of 1,641 Births, 1,020 Deaths, and 636 Marriages for
the year 1896, against 1,252 Births, 735 Deaths, and 621 Marriages for the year 1895.
