JACOBS Secret, ihy-Tkeasuher BANKERS BANK OF MONTREAL - Vernon, B,|C k- J DESCRIPTION. On tbe "D, A " is a vein about ;20 inches wide.Jwith a pay-streak of 4 to 12 inches; from tnis 8,1153 lbs. of ore was shipped to the smelter, giving $103.15 gold per ton, silver 74 7-10 ozs., and 2 per cent. lead. A tunnel is being driven on this vein from whicli ore is being taken. On the same property is a larger vein (quartz) carrying galena and pyrites. Tbe " G. A. ti." has a 3U-fool shaft sunk on a 2-foot vein, heayily mineralized wilh an intimate mixture of iron and copper pyrites, galena, blende and silvei'glance. Tbeflnest piecesof wiresil- verfound onBoiindaryCrcek were taken from this shaft. Average assays from different places across the vein gave $8.00 gold, 50 ozs. silver; also $8.00 gold and 100 ozs, silver and one, the latest return—$15,03 gold and 1110 4-5 ozs. silver per ton. On the "Big Ledge" is a 10-foot quartz vein, mineralized with iron pyrites. This vein has been opened op by cross-cuts on the surface for 600 feet, A narrower vein has been opened up, being one foot wide, carrying considerable copper pyrites, and runs into the main ledge as a spur, on which a tunnel of 40 feet has been driven. Average assays gave $33 gold and 11-10 ozs. silver, and $41,35 gold ITS ozs, silver, 2 pel cent, copper The "S. F." lies l.etweed the G. A. ti. and D, A,, in the direction ot tie* strike on lhe G. A. H. vein. This location baa ecu made on a vein of pyrrhotlte, The "O. B." has two distinct veins t one 25 feet wide which, from its strike and general character would seem In be the same vein as that on the Big Ledge, although sufficient has not been done to make Ihis conclusive. The second vein has at present a width of nearly three feel. Assays have shown values in gold from $4.00 to $170.53, while a conservative sampling by Mr. S. S. Fowler, M. E, gave $20.00 in gold. On llie "S. II. B," iire'two converging veins of copper and iron pyrites, on which work is now1 being done. An average assay gave, gold $1.50, silver MS ozs., copper 11.00 per cent., or $1(1.11 for all values, The "Fred H."was located in De centner, 1805, more as giouud for a basis for mining operations for the other claims than for its present value, although there is liltle doubt lhat (he large vein on the O, B. runs through it. There is a small vein of galena on this claim, The ",T. A. C." hns a large iron- capping running through it from the Anaconda, at a depth of a few feel. The ore carries a considerable percent nge of of copper anil $10 in gold. Tbe remaining six claiinsare all good prospects, but ns yel very liltle development work has been done on them, r % This company i.s registered under the Companies Act, 1890, and amending acts, in the office of the Registrar in Victoria, B, C, for 1,500,000 shares at $1.00, non- assessable, of which a portion of the Treasury stocK is now offered at 10 cents a share on applica- cation to the company.
