Notes |
On the 27th - 29th December 1917, the Turks made a desperate but ill-fated attempt to penetrate the British lines north and north-east of Jerusalem. The result was disastrous for the Turks; for the British forces captured a large number of Villages and dominating positions. Dismounted British Yeomanry occupied the important ridge of Rahm Allah on the 29th.
