Notes |
In the village of Brancourt recently liberated by our troops, little children welcome Tommy and smile happily perhaps for the first time since the brutal German hordes devastated their land. This beautiful picture typifies the love for defence-less children which has won for Tommy many grateful hearts and caused the little villagers of Northern France to hail him affectionately as a "Big Brother."
