BC's New Forest Practices Code Part Three: The Watershed Restoration Program

Description

Serious damage to watersheds has been caused by past logging activity. Shows three and four show examples of the problems and on-site work being done to restore damaged fish habitat by stabilizing roads and streams. Of the thousands of fish-bearing streams in B.C., hundreds have been damaged by industrial activity of various kinds. Logging road deactivation, a major part of Forest Renewal is also shown--old roads being the cause of much erosion and stream damage. Part one of two.
