The Burrowing Owl

Description

This animal became extinct in B.C. several years ago.  Then it was reintroduced and now is apparently starting to increase its numbers.  This film explains the technique for capturing the owls in the United States (where they are quite abundant) and getting them settled in suitable habitat in B.C. Note: The burrowing owl should not be confused with the spotted owl. The burrowing owl has been endangered in B.C. for many years and did actually become extinct for a while.
