West Coast Trail
Description
In the days of sail, so many ships were wrecked on the west coast of Vancouver Island that government built a life-saving trail to guide stranded seamen to safety. Now it is restored and has become a part of Pacific Rim National Park. Mike Halleran made this film for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)–original music included–and it contains a strong message about the dangers of oil tanker traffic down the coast.
