Bear attacks on people are showing a gradual increase in frequency. Bear problems caused by unburied garbage or other food opportunities is drawing bears into areas of human settlement. This frequently results in someone having to shoot the bear to protect human life. How best to manage garbage in the wilderness is discussed in this program.
