'MARJORIE NELSON. . .Visiting Artist in Residence
Ms. Nelson last appeared at the Frederic Wood Theatre in the title role of Mother
Courage, with Klaus Strassmann directing. More recently, she was seen in Happy
Days at Simon Fraser University with the Floating Theatre Company (Arne Zaslove
directing). She has appeared professionally on and off Broadway, in regional theatre,
on radio and television, and was an original member of the Seattle Repertory Theatre.
Ms. Nelson is well known to Northwest audiences, appearing regularly with the major
Seattle theatres. London-trained in the Alexander technique, she teaches at Cornish
School in Seattle, in Portland, and currently here at the University of British Columbia in
the Theatre Department.
