In order to clarify for the High Schools the regulation in reference to Mathematics as issued in the "Requirements for University Entrance and Senior Matriculation,
1948", Mr. Gage recommended that the new course Mathematics
V be accepted as meeting the requirements in this subject
in the case of students completing their University
Entrance standing in 1948.
It had been the intention that in the current school
year students in Grade XI would take the new course Mathematics V and that those in Grade XII would take the old
course Mathematics VI, as formerly. Because of ambiguity
in the regulation, it was desirable that the new course be
accepted as satisfying the requirements for 1948.
Mr. Gage )
Dr. Sedgewick) That the recommendation be approved.

The Chairman wished all members a very happy New
