The Canadian Pharmaceutical Association: a book prize offered annually to the student in the Second Year outstanding in the course in Compounding and Dispensing. The Don Buckland Scholarship Committee: the establishment of a Scholarship Fund to provide, as a memorial to Dr. Donald C. Buckland, an annual scholarship for study in forest pathology. Dow Chemical of Canada Limited: A scholarship of $500 for students entering the Final Year of Chemical Engineering plus a grant of $250 to the University. The East Asiatic Company: scholarship of $50 for Summer Session Extension Classes, 1956, in Leider and Concert Literature. E. L. Sauder Lumber Company Limited and the late Mrs. Amy E. Sauder: a loan fund for male students beginning or continuing their studies at the University. Faculty of U.B.C: contributions made by members of Faculty toward a scholarship for sons and daughters entering First Year University. Fraser Valley Milk Producers' Association: (1) a bursary of $300 for students entering the Faculty of Agriculture for the first time, the award being made on the basis of interest, promise, and proficiency; (2) a bursary of $500 for a student continuing in Third Year Agriculture and specializing in dairy technology. The Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation: (1) scholarships to the total of $500 for students in the Summer Session 1956, and the Winter Session 1956-57, in the field of creative writing; (2) grant of $1,000 for awards in the Summer School of the Theatre, Summer School of Music, Arts and Crafts, Summer Session 1956. The Medical Board of the Vancouver General Hospital: An annual scholarship of $200 for students in Second, Third, and Fourth Year Medicine. This scholarship, serving to recognize Dr. Weaver's special interest in the value of the humanities and the arts, will be awarded to the student in medicine who best exemplifies these values.
